Magellan International School in Austin, TX (No Comments)

My son and I were so moved by your movie that we suggested his 2nd grade class (from The Magellan International School in Austin, TX)  watch it since they are studying the extinction of animals.  His class, in turn, was so inspired by the movie that they brainstormed ways to raise money to help the sharks. They decided to hold a bake sale and have been hard at work in preparation.  They spent a week making detailed posters with diagrams and securing food and beverages.

They had “Sharkwater” playing on a laptop with separate speakers so people could stop and watch the movie, which they did.  The kids were very helpful in explaining the plight of the sharks to anyone who asked.  In addition, they worked hard at providing homemade lemonade, coffee and many types of treats.
The teacher, Angela Puentes, worked very hard with all of the children:   Rohan, Jacquelyn, Klaira, Hayden, Alejandro, Tanner and Brittany.  They were extremely inspired by the “Sharkwater” movie and I am proud that they put this into action.

Thank you so much!  It was an honor to help your organization.
